Saturday Night Date Night

Theme Song: “By the Cathedral” Keren Ann

So tonight for our Saturday night date night, we went to a wine tasting, dinner, and to see the film The Avengers. It was a pretty good time!

It’s so important to keep regular date nights when you’re married – no matter how long you’ve been married. Not only do regular date nights help you connect (and reconnect) with your spouse, but it’s a chance to let your hair down and relax together.

You don’t have to do anything fancy, you can stay in and wear comfy clothes and watch movies together. What’s important is that you make a commitment to do something together regularly.

For us, we like seeing movies, we have fun with wine tastings, and we really enjoy hanging out together and laughing a lot. Saturday night date night happens to be when we went out this week, but you don’t have to choose Saturdays. In fact, you might have a better time on a Tuesday or Wednesday when it’s not so busy out in the world.

We always play board games with my son on Sundays. Having an ebb and flow to the week is important to us. Monday nights we read together, Wednesday nights we watch a Netflix movie.

Hope everyone is having a lovely Mother’s Day weekend! What do your plans involve?
