Engagement Party!

Theme Song: “Let’s Never Stop Falling in Love” Pink Martini – the perfect engagement party song!

engagement party

So tonight we had some local friends over for our engagement party. It seems everyone has a cold or was out of town…but we still had a good time. Here are some pictures from the event. (And yes, those are the awesome shoes I wore tonight – super high heels – and supremely comfy! I made pulled pork and flan! It was a spectacular night! The company that made it was great!)

I love pulled pork – we actually had it recently at a friend’s birthday party. Here’s a great – and easy – recipe for pulled pork. We threw our ingredients into the slow cooker and just let it do its thing while we prepared for the party. We skipped out on making coleslaw for the event – both of us hate coleslaw – in fact, it’s something we bonded over on our friend date (our unofficial first date that wasn’t a date, but was a date).

It’s always nice to have people over – I love hosting and cooking for others – and we hope that we’re able to do it much more in the future. Dinner parties are a lot of fun. Who doesn’t love good food, good wine, and good company?

What did you do with your Saturday night?
